Chamchi Kimchi Jjigae (Bamboooyah)

Ingredients

  • oil
  • 4
    cloves garlic
    minced
  • 1
    onion
    sliced
  • 1
    cup kimchi
  • 1
    can tuna
    drained
  • 1
    tbsp fish sauce
  • 1
    tbsp sugar
  • sprinkle msg
  • 1
    tbsp gochugaru
  • 1
    tbsp gochujang
  • 2
    cups water
  • 2
    green onions
  • 1/2
    block sliced tofu

Instructions

Add a splash of oil to a small pot over medium heat. Add 1 onion (sliced) and sauté 2min. Add 4 cloves garlic (minced) and 1 cup kimchi and sauté another 2min.

Add 2 cups water, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp gochujang, 1 tbsp gochugaru, sprinkle msg, 1 tbsp fish sauce, 2 green onions, and 1 can tuna (drained).

Add 1/2 block sliced tofu, spoon soup on top of tofu and let simmer 20min. Top with remaining green onion and serve with rice.
