Irresistible Blue Oyster Mushroom Bao

Ingredients

    package Smallhold Blue Oyster Mushrooms
    trimmed and separated
  • 2
    Tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1
    Tsp Rice vinegar
  • 1
    Tbsp Sriracha
  • 4
    Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1
    tsp Cornstarch
    mixed with a splash of water
  • 6
    Bao buns
    steamed
  • 2
    cups Pickled veggies
  • 1
    tsp Sesame seeds
    for garnish

Instructions

Let’s make mushroom bao! Collect your ingredients, bring 1 cup rice vinegar, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp salt to a boil, then pour over your veggies.

Mix your sauce of 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp rice vinegar, 1 Tbsp Siracha, 4 tbsp hoisen, and 1 tsp cornstarch with a splash of water.

Separate your Smallhold blue oyster mushrooms and sauté in toasted sesame oil for 3 mins.

Add your sauce to the mushrooms and cook for another minute.

Stuff into steamed bao and garnish with sesame seeds.
