Geomeun Kkae Juk (Black Sesame Porridge)

Ingredients
- 1cup water
- 1/2cup short grain rice
- 1/2cup sweet rice
- 4cups water
- 1cup roasted black sesame seeds
- 1cup water
- pine nuts
- honey
- sesame oil
- salt
- sugar

Wash and soak 1/2 cup short grain rice and 1/2 cup sweet rice for 1 hour, drain, and blend the soaked rice with 1 cup water.

Add 1 cup roasted black sesame seeds to the rice blend with 4 cups water and blend until everything is smooth.

Pour the mixture into a pot and bring to a boil over low heat. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring the entire time. Add in 1 cup water and stir when the porridge really begins to thicken, to help smooth out any lumps.

Serve it savory with salt, pine nuts, and sesame oil or serve it sweet with honey or sugar.
