Turkish Egg Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1-2
    tbsp Butter
  • 1/2
    Onion
    diced
  • 2
    cloves Garlic
    crushed
  • 3-4
    Globe Tomatoes
    roughy chopped
  • 1/4
    cup Water
  • 3
    Eggs

Instructions

Step 1: Heat a cast-iron skillet to medium heat. Melt the 1-2 tbsp Butter in the pan and brown the 2 cloves Garlic (crushed ) and 1/2 Onion (diced ).

Once transparent, add 3-4 Globe Tomatoes (roughy chopped). Cook until softened. Add salt, pepper, marjoram, fennel, and 1/4 cup Water. simmer for ~10 minutes.

Smash the mixture using a wooden spatula. Then make three pockets of space to crack 3 Eggs.

Place a lid over the pan and let the eggs cook till they're over easy and the egg whites are cooked.

Garnish the dish with dried chives and fresh basil. Serve it hot, and enjoy!
