Ingredients

  • 3.5
    cups Lukewarm water
  • 1
    medium size Kombu
  • 1
    Potato
  • 1/2
    Zucchini
  • 1
    Onion
  • 1/2
    Chicken breast
  • 1
    Carrot
  • 1
    Korean curry powder packet

Instructions

Grab 1 medium size Kombu and pour 3.5 cups Lukewarm water. Wait 10 minutes.

Chop 1 Onion, 1 Potato, 1 Carrot, 1/2 Zucchini & 1/2 Chicken breast into bite sizes.

Pour 1/2 cup kombu water into a separate bowl and mix with 1 Korean curry powder packet.

Sauté onions first then carrots & potatoes for 8 minutes. Then, add chicken & zucchini. Sauté for 5 more minutes.

Pour the kombu water into the pot and cook until boils. Cook 5 more minutes on medium heat.

Pour curry mixture to the pot and cook on medium high for 15 minutes or until thickens. Serve with rice!

Radish rice

Ingredients

    cups Rice
  • 1/3
    Korean Radish
  • 1.5
    cups Water
  • 1
    tbs Sesame seeds
  • 3
    tbs Soy sauce
  • 1/2
    tbs Sesame oil
  • 1
    tbs Korean red pepper flakes
  • 1
    tbs Water
  • 2
    tbs Green onions
    chopped

Instructions

Wash 2 cups Rice and soak in the clean water for 30 minutes.

Peel 1/3 Korean Radish (white part tastes better than greenish part). Cut thinly about 3cm.

After 30 minutes, pour rice & 1.5 cups Water into the pot. Put the radish on top. Cover and cook on high until boil.

While the rice is cooking, let’s mix the sauce. Mix 3 tbs Soy sauce, 1 tbs Sesame seeds, 1/2 tbs Sesame oil, 1 tbs Korean red pepper flakes, 2 tbs Green onions (chopped), 1 tbs Water together

Once it’s boiling, turn down the heat to low and cook for 12 minutes. Then turn off the heat & wait 5 minutes. Let the steam cook in the pot by keeping the lid on.

Serve in a bowl with sauce

Omurice

Ingredients

    Small green onion
  • 1/2

    tbs Ketchup
  • pinch Salt
  • pinch Black Pepper
  • 2
    cups Rice
    cooled
  • 2
    Eggs

Instructions

Chop 1/2 Onion, 1/2 Potato, 1 Small green onion, 1/3 Carrot into small pieces

Sauté green onion for 30 seconds first. Then add onion, potato and carrot. Cook for 3 minutes or until tender. Add 1.5 tbs Ketchup & pinch Salt

Add 2 cups Rice (cooled) to the mixture. And sprinkle pinch Black Pepper

Whisk 2 Eggs and pour into the pan(pour only half). When the egg is no longer runny on top, flip.

Finally, add rice mixture on one side & fold half. Repeat the process.

Squeeze ketchup on top accordingly and enjoy!

Sweet potato kimchi melt

Ingredients

  • 2
    Korean sweet potatoes
    cut half
  • 1/2
    cup Kimchi
  • 1/2
    Green pepper
  • 1/4
    Onion
  • 1/2
    Red pepper
  • Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Wash 2 Korean sweet potatoes (cut half )and put them in the steamer for 20 minutes

Wash 1/2 cup Kimchi under water

Chop 1/2 Green pepper, 1/2 Red pepper, 1/4 Onion & washed kimchi

Sauté all the ingredients until tender

Once sweet potatoes are cooked, scoop the middle part and leave the sides about 1cm (make sure it’s cool down so it doesn’t break easily)

Mix scooped sweet potatoes and other veggies

Put the mixture back into sweet potato and sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top. Bake at 350 degree for 5 minutes or until cheese melts

Potato salad (Gamja salad)

    Potatoes

    chopped or cubed
  • 1/4
    tsp Salt
  • 1/4
    Carrot
    chopped or cubbed
  • 1/8
    tsp Black Pepper
  • 2
    tbsp Honey mustard
  • 2
    tbsp Maple syrup
  • 6
    tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4
    tsp Sugar

Steam 5 Potatoes for 30 minutes. Once potato is cooked, smash the potatoes.

In the mean time, Hard boil 2 Eggs

Cut 1/2 Cucumber (chopped or cubed) & 1/4 Carrot (chopped or cubbed ) into bite size. Mix 1/4 tsp Salt to cucumber & carrot and wait 15 minites. Drain excess water.

Separate the egg white and the yolk. Chop the egg white small and smash the yolk.

Prepare the sauce by mixing 6 tbsp Mayonnaise, 2 tbsp Honey mustard, 2 tbsp Maple syrup,1/4 tsp Sugar, 1/8 tsp Black Pepper & pinch of salt

Mix all the ingredients and leave in the refrigerator for at least an hour.

Serve it as a side dish or make a potato salad sandwich 🥪

    handful Somen (Korean style noodles)

    tbsp Sesame oil

    tbsp Maple syrup

    tbsp Sesame seeds
  • tbsp
    3 gochujang (Korean pepper paste)
  • 1
    tsp Korean Pepper flakes
  • 1
    tbsp Korean Green plum extract
  • 2
    tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1
    Hard boil egg
    cut half
  • 1/2
    Cucumber
    julienne

Instructions

Boil water for 1 handful Somen (Korean style noodles)

Make the sauce by mixing tbsp 3 gochujang (Korean pepper paste), 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar, 1 tsp Korean Pepper flakes, 1 tbsp Maple syrup, 1 tbsp Korean Green plum extract, 1 tbsp Sesame seeds, 1 tbsp Sesame oil

Cook noodles for 3 minutes in boiling water & drain with cold water

Add the sauce to drained noodles

Garnish with 1/2 Cucumber (julienne) & 1 Hard boil egg (cut half )
