Dhaba Style Chicken Curry

Ingredients

    gram Chicken w bone
  • 1
    tsp Salt
  • 2
    tsp Lemon
  • 2
    tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste

    Green Chilli

    tbsp Oil

    tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1
    Bay leaf
  • 1
    Cinnamon Stick
  • 5
    Black Cardamoms
  • 8
    Pepper Corn
  • 4
    Cloves
  • 4
    Tomatoes
  • 1
    tsp Tumeric Powder
  • 1
    tsp Red chilli Powder
  • 2
    tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2
    tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1
    tbsp Kaju
  • Poppy seed paste
  • 1
    cup Water
  • 1
    tsp Garam Masala
  • 2
    tsp Kasturi Methi

Instructions

Marination:Take the chicken pieces in a bowl, add salt, lemon Turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste.Mix it all well and set aside for 30 minutes.

Now, take onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies and grind them together to make a paste.

Prepare the curry:Take oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, peppercorn and cloves.

Saute them together until golden brown and add the onion paste.

Mix it with the ingredients .After a while, add tomatoe puree to the mix along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt ,cumin powder and coriander powder mix.

Mix well and add the chicken pieces to the mix and further saute it.Add the kaju and poppy seed paste.Saute them.

Add some water to balance the consistency of the mix.Cover and cook for 15 mins.

Finally add some sugar and kasturi methi.Serve hot.
